India!

Talking about my new year's resolution I was saying that it will be great to update in english (but I think it's going to be complicated but not impossible at all) and travelling. The first one I'm trying to make it as you can see with my rubbish english and the second one I'm really nearly to do it. On Monday I'm travelling to India and I was expecting this travel since I was a child so one of my dreams will become true! Yaaay!

I'm going with my dad, my brother and my brother's girlfriend. They have travelled to India many times so I'm really lucky about going with them because they know India quite well.

Finally I left the job in the café but for this good reason and when I come back, hopefully I will find another job meanwhile I will try to fix all my papers to work as a nurse one day... :)

So there it goes a list with useful things that you will need if you are thinking to travel to India or another amazing country:

  • First of all, try to book your vaccination with plenty time as possible. Make sure you have: hepatitis A (B is just if you are going to have a lot of sex without protection, tatoos, all that kind of lovely stuff... :P), Typhoid Fever (this two together are specially painful and will leave your arm useless for a two days), Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio. Also they recommend Rabies but I think it doesn't worth it at all. The vaccination is really expensive and without it, if you have bitten by an animal you have like 24 hours to seek medical advice and with it you have 48 hours... What a difference! Ok if you are in the middle of the jungle...
  • Get anti - malarial medication (if you are going to be in a very risk area). There are different kinds of tablets that you can obtain but all of them have side effects. There is one called Malarone (atovaquone) that it's 95-100% effective and the only side effects are headache, abdominal pain and diarrhoea buuut they are really expensive (about £50 for a 2 week holiday). Finally I decided to don't get any medication against malaria...
  • Arrange health and travel insurance
  • Leave travel details with a friend or relative
  • Passport
  • Tickets
  • Money
  • Phrase book
  • Sunglasses (not in my case as I always wear my spectacles :P)
  • Small first- aid kit
  • Antibacterial soap/gel
  • Insect repellent (really useful)
  • Tablets for diarrhoea and oral rehydration sachets

And a lot of willing to have fun, to discover new places, people, flavours, aromas, colours... :)

Next update from India! :)

Take care all of you!!!
